so this handmade vintage vest was from the windfall i spoke of a few days ago – a friend is cleaning out her boyfriend’s mother’s house and found a HUGE assortment of vintage clothing, everything from evening dresses to lingerie to housedresses.  all time periods too, and she brought me over a gigantic box of the stuff to wear so she has pics to help her eventually sell the stuff on ebay.  it’s all very exciting.

lounging in my vintage duds on our fabulous office chaise

outfit details: blue flowered square dance dress by schorrer and from my own collection; handmade polyester vest is from the treasure trove; shoes are keds

song inspiration: “a boy named sue” by johnny cash.  i have been obsessed with watching old videos on youtube of johnny – this is the original clip from the folsom prison concert.  another piece of trivia – i once won a free latte from star bucks for knowing who wrote the words to this song.  (it’s shel silverstein, if you are interested.)

Ooh, I love this dress! And I had no idea that Shel Silverstein wrote the lyrics…way cool!

Very feminine and the color of the dress is really great. Do you have like a total price for the whole outfit from head to toe? I am just curious. 🙂

Love the post but just a suggestion I think you look great but if you can change your hair to black it will be perfect. But still looks are awesome!
