a casual outfit i threw on for saturday brunch with friends. it was inspired by finding out that i own socks that match my tom waits t shirt, which is cloud-soft and comfy and in constant rotation chez moi.

song inspiration: “fixed” by stars. this song is the single from the new stars album the five ghosts. i have really been enjoying it lately – it’s a marvelous headphones album because they do really interesting things with panning back and forth. some of their older songs are really important songs to me – like “your ex-lover is dead” – and i am really relieved that this new album didn’t disappoint me. quite the opposite actually- it’s dancier and less chamber-pop but it works. they put on an excellent live show too, so if they come through your town you shouldn’t miss them.
