this is a vintage silk dressing gown from the 60’s that i purchased at a garage sale for one whole dollar.  it’s a little precious with the pink watercolor pattern but i love how silk rustles as you wear it.  i asked a complete stranger to snap my picture this morning in front of the American Heart Association’s little art piece on display outside my building.  it’s fun asking people to do things like that.

another photo taken in the poorly lit halls of my office.  i should have taken my badge off.

outfit details: silk dressing gown is vintage; pinks sandals are danskos; jewelry and belt is thrifted; orchid in hair is self-made

song inspiration: “heart it races” by architecture in helsinki.  a little bouncy twee for this morning from an amazing australian band.  and it’s about a heart.  see what i did there?  this video is a little acid trippy but in a good way.  enjoy.

That dress is fantastic– that confection looks like it was made for you! But are you sure you didn’t overpay for it? 😉

Gorgeous; I bet it feels so good against the skin. The color looks great with your hair. btw, found you on a certain website that you recently discovered and wanted to compliment you on your awesome blog!

Ha, I found you yesterday on the same site as Erin and as a fellow lover of Brit-pop and vintage dresses, I’m really digging it!

I always forget to take off my badge for outfit photos, too. 🙂

I feel like you and I are similar in many ways, among them are our musical tastes, hair color and proportions. Found your blog the same way you found mine and I’m an instant fan of your style!!

Ooooh, Architecture in Helsinki! I love this song and am so tickled that there are two versions of it! The Dr. Dog cover makes me almost as happy as this one, despite its being much more “normal.”

Your dress is just plain gorgeous, and you’re gorgeous in it. It’s perfect for your coloring.

Found your blog via GOMI (which my ladies Clare and Louise sent me to) and am so glad I did!
