well, i went to see erasure at the congress theater on saturday night with a huge group of friends, not least of which were my sister kari and my friend fLee and my dapper and debonair buddies doug and ianni.  we had an absolutely marvelous time.  this is what we wore to the show…don’t we look festive and flashy?

it was a super fun concert.  andy bell has lost a ton of weight and preened around stage like a peacock, exactly as he used to back in the day.  my camera takes shitty pics but here is a little glimpse of the stage set-up.

this was taken right in the middle of the show…you can see we have the live music high going on.  we shook our tail feathers off and i still don’t have much of a voice because i screamed myself hoarse.  it was awesome.

outfit details: dress is jovovich-hawk via ebay; shoes are bc footwear; tights are we love colors; leather mask was purchased from tom banwell’s incredible etsy store…i want every single mask he has on there.  it might be my new obsession.

song inspiration: “drama” by erasure, of course.  this video is from the same tour i saw this weekend and has pretty good sound and perspective.  just imagine me and the rest of the crowd screaming “guilty!” as loud as we could at the appropriate points in the song and you will get any idea of the effervescence going on in the room.  andy bell impressed us all with his vocal prowess and good ‘ol vince stood behind his gargoyle thing and keyboarded like it was 1988 all over again.  do yourself a favor and see this tour if you possible can…i wish i could go again tonight.

And once again I think we may actually have been separated at birth…I love Erasure. I saw them last almost ten years ago and I meant to catch this tour when it came through DC a few weeks ago, but I never got around to it. Glad you had fun! Love the tights.

No, but I just got tickets to see the Damned’s 35 anniversary show (apparently the Damned were born the same year I was. That’s kind of scary). And the Legendary Shack Shakers are opening!
