since i am feeling fall-ish i thought i would break out this gorgeous vintage number, purchased from one of my favorite places in the whole world. that place would be bon ton vintage in foreston, texas, about an hour outside of dallas on the way down to austin. the owners are this awesome couple who have been married 50 years (and got married something like 10 days after they met, too) and they have fabulous stuff for very reasonable prices. i would love to do a documentary or something on them and this place, but until that happens i just try to hit it every year or so on one my trips to austin.
i like the random red door in this picture. that is all.
outfit details: dress is vintage and handmade; denim jacket is dkny via a thrift store; sandals are kork-ease
song inspiration: “darren” by allo darlin’. new single! i’m totally loving it. and it’s about darren hayman, who was the lead singer of hefner, one of my favorite bands when i was in college. really good song – i am guessing this one will appear on my ‘best songs of the year’ mix that i do every year in december.
That dress is utterly marvelous.
Love those Kork-Ease sandals. They’re delightful!
This? This is stunning. If fall looks like this dress, I’ll take it!
I now have dress envy. Such a pretty dress, perfect for the summer/fall transition.
I love the color…great to see another Chicago blogger!
